eSIM technology allows consumers to activate and move between mobile network operators without physically changing the SIM card. Remote SIM provisioning is dependent on a secure infrastructure, and SM-DP+ is a critical component.
SM-DP+ employs cryptographic techniques to securely transmit and store sensitive information, ensuring the integrity of the profiles and providing secure connection between the eSIM and the mobile network operator's infrastructure.
SM-DP+ prepares the consumer profile data and protect the profile package security. This function ensures that the operator's profile can have the expected functions and there is no risk of data leakage.
SM-DP+ is responsible for overseeing subscription data, such as network operator profiles, target device information, and other relevant data necessary to ensure that the eSIM device receives the appropriate eSIM profile.
SM-DP+ oversees the entire life cycle of the host's profile, which includes tasks such as creating, deleting, and continuously monitoring the real-time usage status of the profile.
