Singapore – [March 5, 2025] – Redtea Mobile, a leader in eSIM and iSIM technology solutions, has successfully extended the offering together with Nordic Semiconductor. The nuSIM integrated SIM offering is available in the nRF91 series modules, with future potential expansion to additional device families. nuSIM is an open standard for integrated SIM technology, specially designed for IoT devices, typically constrained on power, size and cost. The nuSIM standard has now been successfully evaluated by TÜV NORD using the nuSIM security evaluation framework. It is certified for Security Assurance Level SEAL-4 from TÜV NORD CERT GmbH. This certification validates Redtea Mobile’s commitment to robust security standards in integrated SIM implementations, particularly within the Nordic Semiconductor ecosystem.
With the support of Nordic Semiconductor, Redtea Mobile’s SIM OS, as well as GSMA-certified RSP platform, will ensure the nuSIM solution meets stringent security requirements and can support any mobile network operators (MNOs) and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) offering the nuSIM integrated SIM, including Deutsche Telekom (DT) and others.
Seamless SIM Enablement for M(V)NOs and OEMs Redtea Mobile’s SIM offering includes provisioning and enablement platform solutions, allowing any M(V)NO using this platform to also leverage nuSIM functionality within Nordic’s nRF91 series right out of the box. The solution delivers full support for OEMs, including factory provisioning, technical assistance, and evaluation kits. Through a single integration, OEMs can seamlessly connect to any of Redtea Mobile’s SIM partner M(V)NOs, eliminating the need for custom SIM OS implementations for each connectivity provider.
Onboarding more MNOs and MVNOs to enhance connectivity options using the GSMA-certified RSP platform.
Introducing new provisioning methods, including in-field provisioning and firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) updates.
Supporting multiple frameworks, including nuSIM and, in a later stage, solutions using SGP.32 standard to ensure compliance with evolving industry requirements.
